George Ozer, O.D.

Dr. George Ozer is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He is happily married to Lori Ozer for almost 30 years and have a son Andrew who is a student at Clemson University in South Carolina. He has been a member of the American Optometric Organization since graduating in 1982. When not at work he is busy woodworking, converting a 1975 Porsche 914 to run on electricity(click here to watch),and working with the Eagle Scout review board of Northern Delaware. Recently he returned from his second trip to Nicaragua to help provide eye care to those who would never normally get the chance to see an eye doctor. A tremendous opportunity to learn from those less fortunate and help convince the rest of the world that Americans are still a kind and compassionate people. At the end of 2009, Dr. Ozer was listed as a “Top Doc” in Mainline Magazine, one of only 2 Optometrists for an area that covers all of Philadelphia and its suburbs. Of course, this only happens when one is surrounded by an excellent team, as Dr. Ozer always brags about his staff.

Rebecca Verna, O.D.

Dr. Verna (formerly Reisinger) is a 2002 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has her undergraduate degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“In addition to her skills as a primary care eye clinician, she raises our reputation in the contact lens field to even higher levels. “Dr. Becky” leads our office in the newest technology for all current and prospective contact lens wearers

You may know someone in your family that could benefit from her expertise.

She is now married to Brian and has two wonderful dogs. All three enjoy her company.

Rebecca P, Office Manager & Certified Optician

Rebecca has worked with us for over 12 years and is a graduate of nearby Neuman College. Now our Office Manager, Rebecca consistently impresses our patients with her full range of knowledge. If you need an answer, do what the Doctors do- ask Rebecca!

Olga has been associated with our office for 40 years ! Fortunately, she was a very mature 10 year old when first hired. Olga is a skilled craft person who uses modern technology to insure that your eyewear is made to the most precise standards. She also is fluent in Polish and Ukrainian.

Barbara G., Insurance Coordinators

Barbara has also been with us for 40 years ! Truly amazing that she was only 5 years old at her hiring ! Kids were more mature back then. In these days of managed care, Barbara has an invaluable position. Not only does she process all the insurance information, she needs to communicate with patients and staff on over a hundred different insurance plans !! Carol is here to help with a wide variety of patient situations. From contact lens instruction to helping you pick out that perfect frame for your new prescription eyewear, her advice is always valuable. Carol is fully licensed with the NBO (national board of opticianry) and makes us proud every day.

Tara is another one of our hardworking staff members. She may have made your appointment on the phone. Not an easy task anymore with the complexity of your schedule and the hundreds of insurance plans patients carry. Elizabeth P., Optical Assistant

Elizabeth follows a family tradition, now working side by side with her older sister, Rebecca. We rely on Elizabeth to perform the additional testing necessary for medical conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. As this technology advances and the instrumentation we use grows in complexity, it is comforting to know that her skills provide the consistent excellent results that are so important to us, our patients, and their families. What a nice surprise to walk into a doctor's office and to be greeted warmly. You can count on that from Debbie! It is no surprise for us that she has become an integral part of the staff. You can turn to Debbie for a true sense of fashion when making your frame selections.

Samantha is an honor student at Chichester High School and is rated the number one tennis player within 3 blocks of our office. We count on her skills to test patients in our visual screening room and to make everyone's job easier. Sam is currently studying at Millersville you may see her in our office during winter and summer break.

Andrew Ozer, Optician

Despite the similar spelling and vocal inflection he is no relation to Dr. Ozer. While they share a similar and rather warped sense of humor, please don't confuse him as family, unless you have a wealthy daughter who would like to settle down with the son of an optometrist.
